Teacher Introductions & Room Assignments

School Uniforms

  • Tops– Light blue, yellow, or navy blue polo, button-down shirt, or blouse
  • Bottoms– Navy blue or Khaki pants, skirt, skort, or jumper
  • Sweaters and Jackets– Navy blue sweaters or jackets

NOTE:  Students may not wear hoodies in the building.

School Schedule

Monday, August 26th, will be the first day for all students. The school day will begin at 8:00 AM and end at 2:39 PM. From August 26th to August 30th, Kindergarten students will be dismissed at 11:39 AM for Kindergarten Interviews.

Morning Arrival by Car

Parents should use the parking lot roundabout on Brookhaven Road to keep our students safe to drop off students. Please park on the street and allow students to walk to the schoolyard if necessary.

Morning Arrival by School Bus

Students who arrive by school bus will enter the building from the schoolyard Woodbine Entrance. Students will be greeted by a staff member and escorted to their class’ designated waiting area.

All Preschool Students are buzzed in by their teachers and eat in their classrooms.

Breakfast and Admission for Kindergarten through 2nd Grade

Students may arrive at 7:30 AM for breakfast in the Little School House cafeteria. Each table will be labeled with the room number and teacher’s name, and a staff member will be present to direct students to their table. Breakfast is served from 7:30 – 7:55 AM and is accessible to all students. Students not eating breakfast should remain seated in the cafeteria until their teacher arrives at 8:00 AM to pick them up and escort them to class. Parents may not enter the building during morning admission.

Breakfast and Admission for Grades 3rd-8th

Students may arrive at 7:30 AM in the schoolyard. All students must be lined up by 8:00 AM when their teachers come to pick them up. In the case of severe/inclement weather, grades 3-8 should report to the auditorium and sit by class. Parents may not enter the building during inclement weather admission. All third through 8th-grade students will eat breakfast in their classrooms during Morning Meetings from 8:00 am to 8:30 am.

Late Arrival

Any student who arrives after 8:10 AM will be marked late. If a student in 3rd-8th grade is late, they must report to the main building office to get a late slip.

Students with classes in the Little Schoolhouse will be escorted to their classrooms after getting marked present by the Climate Lead.

Dismissal

Students are dismissed to the schoolyard at 2:39 PM on regular dismissal and 11:39 AM on early dismissal days. Parents/caregivers must pick up their children on time during regular and early dismissal days. All students in the Safe Haven after-school program will go directly to the LSH Cafeteria for snacks.
